2-0 win at The Fortress............

Corfe Castle 0 Swans 2

Swans defeated Purbeck rivals Corfe Castle 2-0 at in the first ever clash in The Dorset Premier League at The Fortress.

Swans were hoping to gain revenge in their final game of the season following Corfe Castle's 3-2 win at Day's Park earlier in the season, and produced the perfect start taking the lead after 6 minutes when Joe Clark sent home keeper Jamie Perry the wrong way from the penalty spot following a foul.

Cameron Barnes doubled the lead on 16 minutes with an exquisite chip over the keeper for his first goal for the club since his transfer from Lymington Town. Corfe's attacks were well marshalled by swans impressive defence. H.T.0-2.

Corfe were rejuvenated in the second half and dominated large periods of the half, the Swans had keeper James Langdon to thank for the clean, sheet producing several superb saves. Corfe kept pressing but Swans rearguard held firm with Brendan Flockton and Courtney Johnstone going close, the impressive Ocean Smith was always a threat on the left side with his direct running.

Swans dug in to hold on for the 3 points and the bragging rights in what proved to be quite a placid derby.
