Swans suffer big home defeat..........

Swans 1 Hamworthy Recreation 8

Swans suffered a humiliating 1-8 defeat at Day's Park to current champions Hamworthy Recreation in The Dorset Premier League.

The visitors were out of the blocks much quicker than the Swans and were soon ahead with two goals in the first 10 minutes through Sam Carter and Carl Edwards. Skipper Paul Best hit his 5th goal in 3 games from fully 35 yards to give his side some hope, however this proved to be a false dawn as the league leaders hit two more goals, both from Sam Carter who completed his hat-trick for a 1-4 interval lead. In a further blow for the Swans Elliot Parslow sustained a hamstring injury and was replaced by Garan Bennett H.T. 1-4.

A minute into the second half Sam Carter struck again for the visitors and further goals from John Webb and George Webb (2) secured a comprehensive win for the league leaders with the Swans experiencing a miserable afternoon.
