Swans Lose Entertaining Friendly With Dolphins

By Swanage FC

Second half improvement...........

Swans 3 Poole Town 5

Swans suffered a 5-3 defeat to Poole Town at Day's Park in their first pre-season friendly.

The Dolphins made a flying start scoring 2 in the first 15 minutes. The visitors dominated the rest of the half and were rewarded with a third goal before half time. H.T. 0-3.

Poole added number 4 early in the second half, however the Swans started to create chances taking advantage of some slack Poole defending and reduced the arrears courtesy of a Paul Best header. Poole restored the 4 goal cushion with number 5. Aaron Atkinson scored two quick fire goals to make the scoreline 5-3. Swans went close on a couple of occasions through Garan Bennett in the last 10 minutes.

A very entertaining game which Poole Town deserved to win and at times showed why they play 4 leagues higher than the Swans. It was great to see the fixture so well supported.
