4-2 home win..........

Swans U18s eased to a 4-2 win against Grange Athletic Youth in Dorset U18 League Division 2 at King George V Playing Fields.

Swans dominated early on and deservedly took the lead with a swift counter attack which was finished expertly by Sam Willcocks. A long ball over the top missed by the Swans keeper led to centre back Henry Counsell giving what some people would call a very soft penalty away that was comfortably finished by Grange's captain. Just before the interval a corner from Matt Dunster was headed into their own net by a Grange defender. H.T. 2-1.

Early in the second half a free kick from the half way line went straight through everyone into the back of net, however in typical striker fashion Brendon Flockton claimed a touched it past the keeper, so we will have to put this forward to the dubious goals committee.

Swanage dominance continued when Thomas Johnson headed in to extend the lead for the Swans. A scrappy game finished with a penalty to Grange after a late challenge from a Swanage defender which was duly converted. However Swanage defended well to claim the 4-2 victory.

Man of the Match has to be shared by centre backs Marcus Smith and Henry Counsell producing a solid display.
