Swans 2 Merley Cobham Sports 1
Swans won a dramatic Jewson Dorset Premier League game against Merley Cobham Sports at Day's Park with both sides scoring deep into stoppage time.
Swans had a great early chance when Ocean Smith just delayed his shot which enabled the defender to save on the line. At the other end Swans keeper Hibbs produced a great save to deny the visitors. A free kick from Keates was clawed away by the visitors' keeper Collins and the same player fired over when well placed. Swans broke the deadlock of this end to end encounter when Jack Hughes powered his shot home following a clever pass from Merredew. The impressive Cody Moore went close with a shot just before the interval. H.T. 1-0.
The match continued end to end in the second half with both sides producing entertaining football, both keepers producing great saves, however the Swans should have secured the points when Ocean Smith fluffed his lines from close range, then Moore was unlucky just missing with a header. Due to the injury to Sports Josh Buck the Merley equaliser was scored in the 95th minute from a speculative shot by Owen Reynolds. The late drama unfolded after 104 minutes when defender Stephen Pryor headed home a great cross from Hughes to secure the points for the jubilant Swans.
