Swans 2 Wimborne Town Reserves 3
Swans suffered their first home defeat of the season against a young and talented Wimborne Town Reserves at Day's park in The Jewson Dorset Premier League.
The Magpies enjoyed the lion's share of the first half with Swans keeper Taylor Hibbs producing a couple of vital saves. However it was the hosts who went the closest when Conor Magnier hit a superb long range shot that beat keeper Dinnivan but struck the post, a minute later the same player tried again from long range and buried it in the bottom corner for his first senior goal for the club.H.T. 1-0.
Wimborne struck after 53 minutes when Albie Turner pounced from close range for the equaliser. Swans were now under pressure and went further behind courtesy of an own goal. The Magpies scored their third with a solo run and cool finish from Callum Clarke. This seemed to spur the Swans into action and substitute Blake Hughes halved the deficit with a smart finish. The home side pressed for the leveller in the remaining 10 minutes, but the young Wimborne side hung on for a deserved win.
