Portland United Reserves 1 Swans 0
Swans suffered a controversial one goal defeat against Portland United Reserves at The Camp & Satherley Stadium in The Jewson Dorset Premier League.
Swans started brightly and created a great chance for Ocean Smith following good work from Olly Smith and Charlie Brassington. The Blues stopper Sam Moggeridge denied Jack Hughes with a great save. It was the turn of the Swans stopper, Taylor Hibbs, at the other end to rescue his side with a sharp save. Jake Streams produced a superb pass for Dan Reeks to round the keeper, but he missed the target at the vital time. Swans suffered a blow 10 minutes before the interval when they lost striker Dan Reeks with a shoulder injury. H.T. 0-0.
Both sides seemed to cancel each other out and chances were at a premium, however Mitch White played a great pass through to Jack Hughes but was denied when one-on-one with keeper Sam Moggeridge. The decisive controversial goal arrived in the 70th minute when John Pritchard hit a speculative shot that struck the far post and was cleared by the Swans' defence, however the official decided the ball had crossed the line and awarded the goal to Portland's delight. Swans exerted pressure on the Blues' goal with substitute Cody Moore prominent but was unable to grab the equaliser and prevent their first defeat following five consecutive wins.
