Swans Reserves gained 3 valuable points when they defeated Holt United Development 2-0 at Day's Park in Dorset League Division 2.
Swans settled the quickest and went close when Paul Best struck the foot of the post with a long range shot. Lynch, the Holt keeper, rescued his side with a great save from Sam Willcocks when clean through. Sam Peacock missed the target with a header when well placed following a free kick. The visitors went close on several occasions, however the Swans defended resolutely with keeper Kadin Jacques in fine form. H.T. 0-0.
Swans took the lead courtesy of Paul Best who received a superb pass from Matt Dunster and dispatched his shot past Lynch. The visitors applied pressure for the equaliser but it was the Swans who doubled their lead with a superb long range strike from Danny Sumner. Holt continued to apply pressure, however stopper Kadin Jacques and the back four held firm to secure the 3 valuable points that delighted manager Matt Light.
