Late winner at Day's Park............

Swanage Reserves took to the field on a gloriously sunny February afternoon in high spirits after a crushing 8-1 win last week.
Yerby, Taylor, Brassington and Rushforth returned to the team and it was great to see steve Carpenter make an appearance too.
The game started well with the ball spending quite a lot of time in the air due to the pitch being quite bobbly. The first shout of the game came after 6 minutes when Nick Taylor was fouled in the box. Obviously I would say this as it involved me but my ankles were clipped and I went over. Nothing given. Brassington had a couple of shots charged down in a relatively uneventful first half. Swanage definitely had the better chances with The back 4 remaining solid and Beeston making only one save of note. Half Time 0-0.
Swanage started the second half quickly with a few half chances going wide. The game came alive on 65 minutes when Carvalho threw the ball to Taylor's feet, he turned and played a perfectly timed ball through the back four to an on running Troy who rounded the keep for 1-0.
Swanage kept the pressure up and had a few more half chances but Tisbury grew into the game, with Beeston making 3/4 good saves. Tisbury pressured more and on 80 minutes made it 1-1. With the right winger slotting low under Beeston.
The yellow cards started racking up and on 89 minutes Tisbury's number 6 was sent off for a second yellow. From the resulting free kick Peacock was fouled and a penalty given. The ball bounced high and as Peacock ran to meet it his heels were clipped and he went over, as the incident was a little way from the ball and with both players looking at the ball it seemed a bit harsh.
At this point a lot of Swanage players looked nervously at each other wondering who would take responsibility for the penalty. Aaron Scott stepped up and hit a truly awful penalty. Luckily enough the rebound fell to him to smash in. Full time 2-1.

Ryan Moss gets my MOM this week, as a slight lad he put some powerful tackles in and worked tirelessly to break up the play. Simply, He was brilliant!

Team: Beeston, Carvalho, Yerby, Rushforth, Moss, Brassington, Carpenter, Scott, Bartley, Littleford and Taylor.
Subs, Peacock, Troy and Russell.
