Bridport Reserves 3 Swans 5

Swans produced a superb away performance to defeat Bridport Reserves 5-3 in The Dorset Premier League at St Mary's Field.

Four goals were scored in a frantic opening 10 minutes, Ryan Leader opened the scoring for the Bees on 3 minutes only for skipper Paul Best to equalise after 6 minutes with a neat finish following a great pass from Cameron Barnes. Anthony Carlisle put the hosts ahead on 9 minutes however a minute later Paul Best again equalised with a great finish thanks to a good work from Aaron Atkinson.

Swans squandered a succession of chances, with Tommy Beard and Cameron Barnes fluffing their lines at the vital times, but the encouraging signs were how many chances were created, and Aaron Atkinson was a constant threat to the Bees with his direct running and crossing. H.T. 2-2.

Swans flew out of the blocks at the start of the second half with 2 goals in the opening 2 minutes courtesy of Jamie Harlowe and Tommy Beard to put the Swans in the driving seat and Paul Best completed his second consecutive league hat-trick on 60 minutes with his sides 5th goal rounding the keeper and slotting home. Bridport never gave up and reduced the deficit with their third from a close range header. Swans had some late nervous moments but also chances of their own and held out for 3 great away points with a superb team performance.

There was many outstanding performances with David Best and Cameron Barnes bossing the midfield, Aaron Atkinson's first half display, 17 year old birthday boy Henry Nix playing beyond his years at right back and Paul Best who was only about 50% fit scoring his second consecutive league hat-trick. 16 year old substitute Isaac christmas made his debut. Jamie Harlowe produced his best display of the season marshalling the back four.

Caretaker Manager Tony Parrott was delighted with his sides performance and attitude.
