2-1 home defeat in Purbeck Derby.............

Swans Reserves suffered a 2-1 defeat against Purbeck rivals Wareham Rangers Reserves at Day's Park in their first game of the season.

Swans started the brighter of the sides with the lively Isaac Christmas and Sam Peacock causing problems for the visitors. Charlie Brassington went close with a long range shot, Sam Willcocks was dangerous in and around the box and teenage defender Jack Byron looked accomplished at full back.

Isaac Christmas put his side ahead with a quality finish after 28 minutes. However 5 minutes later Wareham equalised following a defensive mistake which Sam Bell was on hand to slot home. Swans keeper Dan Beeston had to be at his best to keep his side level at half time. H.T. 1-1.

Swans huffed and puffed in the second half but lacked the quality of the first and although they exerted pressure on the visitors and apart from a few long range efforts they never looked like adding to there total. It was the visitors who claimed the win and bragging rights when they scored the winning goal after 68 minutes courtesy of Aaron Willis with a deflected shot which looped over Dan Beeston.
