The match kicked off under wet conditions and continued throughout the game at Day's Park.
The home side took an early lead when Sam Peacock coolly converted a penalty, settling the team down and allowing them to play some good football for the opening 20 minutes. Despite Handley Sports coming back into the game, they failed to create any real danger for the Swanage keeper. Just before half-time, Swanage Reserves extended their lead to 2-0 thanks to a clever flicked goal by Spencer Grygiel. This left the visitors with a mountain to climb going into the break.Peacock and Bland consistently outclassed their opposition in the midfield, adding to Handley's struggles.

The second half saw Swanage continue their dominance, Spencer Grygiel grabbing his second of the game with a neat finish to make it 3-0. The visitors, to their credit, remained in the contest and reduced the arrears with a header from a corner. However, despite their attempts to play neat football, Handley couldn’t break down the Swans resilient defence, Spencer Grygiel had a few missed chances before finally completing his hat-trick with another penalty. The Handley keeper got a hand to it but couldn’t keep it out.
