Wareham Rangers 0 Swans 3
Swans produced a superb performance and a 3-0 win against Purbeck rivals Wareham Rangers at The Purbeck Centre in The Dorset Premier League.
Swans bounced back from their big defeat suffered at the weekend with a great first half performance and deservedly went ahead with a 7 minute penalty despatched by Joe Clark after Cody Rose-Moore was fouled. Cameron Barnes playing his first game of the season dominated the midfield along side the hard working David Best and Ogun Gundodu. Joe Clark playing upfront with the marauding Paul Best caused problems with his hard work and creative play, and from his pin point free kick Ogun Gundodu just missed the target with his header.
Wareham suffer a blow when Declan Keates saw red after 29 minutes and a few minutes later they were further reduced to 9 when ex Swan Cameron Beard was sin binned. Swans were now in the driving seat but failed to add to their early goal. H.T. 0-1.
Chris Bennett in the Wareham goal produced fine saves from Joe Clark and Paul Best. The 10 men of Wareham were starting to tire and the Swans capitalised with goals in the 86th and 88th minute, from substitute Garan Bennett with a composed finish. Paul Best put the icing on the cake with his sixth goal of the season following a good pass from Garan Bennett.
A good performance and their first win of the season should install confidence into the side after a slow start to the season.
