Swans Reserves 3 Bere Regis 1
Swans grabbed 3 valuable points in their quest to avoid relegation against Bere Regis at Day's Park in Dorset League Division 2.
Swans won consecutive league games for the first time this season to lift themselves off the bottom of the table. The visitors started the brighter, creating chances and bringing the best from Swans keeper George Taylor, however the Swans responded with Brassington, Willcocks and Blake Hughes all going close. Swans took the lead on 17 minutes Sam Peacock heading home following a cross from Cavendish. The hosts doubled their lead when provider turned scorer Dan Cavendish scored with his second attempt. The visitors then had their best spell and reduced the arrears through Nick Collins.Luck seemed to be on the Swans side when the visitors hit the foot of the post and rebounded clear. H.T. 2-1.
Swans were far more comfortable in the second half and Sam Willcocks lobbed the keeper from long range for his side's third. The scoreline could have been greater with Peacock, Grygiel, and Brassington all just missing the target or being denied by the visitor's keeper. A good team performance and well deserved 3 points for their fight for survival.
